Nathaniel Eck is a pianist and educator recognized for his expressive musicianship, technical sensitivity, and dedication to holistic musical development. With experience both as a performer and a collaborative artist, Nathaniel brings a comprehensive and student-centered approach to teaching that emphasizes musicality, curiosity, and disciplined growth. Nathaniel has extensive experience coaching vocalists, instrumentalists, and ensembles, and has worked with a wide range of repertoire—from Renaissance works to contemporary compositions, jazz, and opera—which informs his adaptable teaching style and ability to meet students at every stage of development. His early teaching work through the Luther College Community Outreach Program, where he taught beginner piano students, laid the foundation for his pedagogical approach, centered around humanist foundations. Nathaniel’s artistic experiences include performances throughout the United States and internationally across Europe, and he has been accepted to esteemed training programs such as the International Music Festival of the Adriatic and the Collaborative Piano Institute. His collaborative mindset, reinforced through répétiteur roles in productions including Le Nozze di Figaro and Carmen, complements his teaching by drawing on real-world performance and coaching insight. He is the recipient of the Robert Turnbull Piano Foundation Award and is praised for his sensitivity, professionalism, and ability to motivate learners through artistic excellence.  Nathaniel strives to cultivate both artistry and confidence in his students, fostering musicians who are thoughtful, expressive, and technically strong.  He is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Piano Performance at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University under Grammy-nominated artist Adam Neiman.
