Dramatic soprano Alexandra Loutsion offers a holistic approach to voice instruction. Her process-oriented teaching style gives students room to learn at their own pace, get to know their own instruments, and discover their authentic voices.
Her students range from absolute beginners to established professionals. No matter the level, she teaches them how to use their voices healthfully and with ease, whether they’re working through complex operatic arias or learning to match pitch. Her studio is a safe place to experiment with technique, repertoire, and interpretation – freed from perfectionism and judgment, her students are able to make all kinds of sounds in order to discover the ones that work best for them.
Alexandra built her vocal expertise performing leading operatic roles all over the US and Canada (Lyric Opera of Chicago, Houston Grand Opera, San Francisco Opera, Canadian Opera Company, Washington National Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, The Dallas Opera, among others). In addition to her performing schedule, she regularly speaks on panels and gives masterclasses at opera companies, young artist programs, and graduate schools. She also recently finished her tenure as a coach with The Glimmerglass Festival’s 2022 season working with the festival young artists. Above all, she still studies with her own teacher on a regular basis, as she firmly believes learning to sing is a lifelong endeavor. She loves cooking, making epic videos on iMovie, Brazilian jiujitsu, and visiting as many farmers markets as she possibly can. She maintains a private voice studio and is thrilled to be a new member of The Bravo Studio family.
